"A film you just can't wash has emerged, but you cleanse, you cleanse, you cleanse"
In celebration of the album release of Cleanse by Joywave, I created a deck of playing cards themed around it. The court cards (king, queen, and jack) are based on the members of the band, with the soapy and paint-like textures of the pips as well as the font being based on the album art and lyric videos.
Cards were printed on 2.48" x 3.46" M31 linen card stock.
Cards by yours truly
Playing cards offer a different kind of canvas — 52 of them in fact. These cards combine beauty and functionality, with each card being unique in design while also providing clarity in the card's value. Whether they are for card games, magic tricks, cardistry, or something else, these were designed with those in mind. The suit colors stray away from the traditional red and black color scheme, instead opting for the introduction of blues and greens to denote different suits. In addition, the back design is semi-borderless, allowing for more interesting card fans and spreads.
